Peter was born in Cape Town in 1959, started playing the guitar at the age of 10 and at 13 formed his first band. Many a school holiday was spent in Peter’s parents’ living room recording music on his father’s tape recorder which had overdubbing capabilities.
In 1983 Peter recorded his first album under the name Off the Edge. This is an original melodic rock band that is Peter’s brainchild and foremost a studio project. He joined various bands playing the guitar for the next 15 years. During this time he continued to write songs and it was only in 1998 that he returned to record and produce the next four Off The Edge albums.
In 2006, Peter moved into new professional recording studios (Foxglove Studios) and started producing and recording music for other artists as well as concentrating on his own instrumental music.
In 2009 recording started on his first solo album, Revelation which was released in June 2010. This was a collection of songs that he’d written since 2006.
Peter is currently putting together a promotional DVD which will feature songs from both Living for the Moment and Revelation plus various interviews all shot live at Foxglove Studios. The DVD will be released towards the end of the year however three songs have already been released and can be viewed on his website and via YouTube.
Peter plays guitar for a local band (Clint & Co.) and when not playing with the band, composes, records and produces music at Foxglove Studios in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is also involved in session work and his guitar playing can be heard on other artists’ albums.
